Aylmer's Mosque

Aylmer's Mosque, also known as The Mosque of Aylmer, is a Sunni mosque located in Gatineau, Quebec. It serves the growing Muslim community in Aylmer, which has expanded from just a few families in the late nineties to over 300 Muslim families in 2010.

Since its humble beginnings, the mosque has evolved to better meet the religious needs of the community. Starting with a temporary prayer house, known as Mussalla, in the early 2000s, it then moved to a small mosque in 2007. Finally, in 2010, it found a spacious location that could accommodate all its activities.

Aylmer's Mosque is dedicated to providing a range of religious services to the Muslim community in the area. It holds the five daily prayers, including the important Friday prayers, also known as Jumaa. Additionally, the mosque organizes various religious gatherings called Halaqhas, where knowledge and understanding of Islam are shared.

The mosque is kid-friendly, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere for families and children to participate in prayers and religious events.
