About the Mosque

Montreal is the second largest city in Canada and the largest city in the province of Quebec. The population of Greater Montreal is over four million and the Muslim community represents about ten percent. Recent statistics estimate that the Muslim population will increase considerably over the next twenty years. Al-Andalous Mosque opened in October 2012 in a rented two-storey building at 970 boulevard Décarie in Montreal. The center has always been domiciled at this address since its opening.
The Al-Andalous Islamic Center has a surface divided into two floors, one for the brothers and the other for the sisters. Al-Andalous Islamic Center leitmotif is to work to bring together and serve the Muslim community by providing prayer services and offering many religious, educational and recreational activities, in a friendly and warm setting.
