Outaouais Islamic Center

The Center Islamique de l'Outaouais (CIO) is a non-profit charitable organization recognized and registered with the federal, provincial, and local authorities. In 2004, a first meeting between the administrators of the Outaouais Islamic Center and the Mayor of the City of Gatineau at the time, Mr. Yves Ducharmes, took place to discuss the desire to find land to build a mosque and a community center. The authorities welcomed the project. The mosque has a parking lot where worshipper can park their vehicle easily. This mosque has facilities for five times prayer in a day and the friday prayer also.
