Whitehorse Mosque

Whitehorse Mosque is the first mosque in Yukon and serves roughly 50 Muslim families in Whitehorse. Yukon Muslim Society (YMS), a charitable organization registered with Canada Revenue Agency, and Zubaidah Tallab Foundation, a Manitoba-based organization embarked on this project and build the first mosque in Yukon. A high-level cost estimated for this project was $638,000, and we began our fundraising early in 2016 with the help of local communities, other Muslim communities, and generous donations from the Zubaidah Tallab Foundation, We achieved the target.
