The Islamic Center of Johnson City, also known as the Muslim Community of NorthEast Tennessee (MCNET), serves as a religious center and community hub for Muslims in the Tri-Cities area. Established in 1984, it aims to foster a sense of community while promoting understanding and dialogue with people of other faiths.

The center offers various services, including five daily prayers, Jumu'ah prayers, and a weekend school for children. Special events like Tarawih prayers during Ramadan and marriage services (Nikah) are also held. 

Facilities at the mosque cater to families and individuals alike. There are separate prayer spaces for women, and amenities such as shower facilities and wheelchair-accessible options are available.
