Rivervale Mosque

Rivervale Mosque ( Islamic Community Centre) was formally established in 1977 in the suburb of Rivervale. It is the head office of the Islamic Council of Western Australia as a State branch of the Australian Federation of Islamic Councils. The halal certification of meat products and food outlets in metropolitan Perth is administered by Rivervale Mosque under the religious guidance of the Imam and the council’s halal certification subcommittee.

Rivervale Mosque represents the quintessential 1970s-style architecture of a basic prayer hall, kitchen, and offices designed from an old residential house. Redeveloped in 1985 and refurbished in 2012. The mosque caters to Perth Muslims from around Victoria Park, Carlisle, Burswood, and East Perth. It remains popular with Perth taxi drivers and students.
