Islamitische Stichting Lombok

Islamic Foundation Lombok (better known as Mosque Assoenna) has been part of Utrecht society since 1989.
The founders, a group of Utrecht residents of Moroccan ethnicity, no longer saw Utrecht as a temporary place to live, but as a new home port.The need for a mosque grew within the community. After all, people could profess their faith there, something that is indispensable in the life of a Muslim.
