Makkah Mosque is a sunni mosque located in Leeds, England. It was opened on August 29th, 2003, and serves as a vital hub for the Muslim community in Leeds 6. With its magnificent architecture and rich history, Makkah Mosque stands as a symbol of faith and devotion.

Having undergone three years of construction, this mosque has become a prominent landmark in the heart of Leeds city. With a total cost of £1.8 million, it showcases the dedication and commitment of the Muslim community in providing a space of worship and reflection.

Prior to the establishment of Makkah Mosque, the al-Madina Masjid fulfilled the needs of the Leeds 6 Muslim community. However, with the increasing Muslim population, a larger space was required for Friday and Eid prayers. Thus, the expansion of al-Madina Masjid became necessary, with renovation and extension work completed in 1989.

The Makkah Mosque is open to people of all backgrounds, featuring an English language setting that welcomes individuals from diverse communities.
