Remembering the Beloved: A Gathering of Love

Maryam Islamic Center, located in Sugar Land, Texas, is a Sunni Islamic center established in 2003. With its easy parking availability, it provides convenient access for worshippers. The mosque offers a range of services and amenities to cater to the community's needs.

The center hosts five daily prayers, ensuring that the worshippers have ample opportunities to engage in their spiritual practices. Additionally, two Jumu'ah prayers are offered, serving as a focal point for the community to gather together for Friday congregational prayer.

Maryam Islamic Center also places a strong emphasis on education and the development of young minds. They provide a weekend school for kids, allowing them to learn about Islam and its values in a nurturing environment. Furthermore, the center offers a part-time Hifj Program, enabling individuals who wish to memorize the Qur'an to do so under expert guidance.

During the holy month of Ramadan, the mosque organizes Tarawih prayers, providing worshippers with the opportunity to engage in additional prayers and recitation of the Qur'an. Additionally, they conduct Eid prayers, celebrating the joyous occasion at the end of Ramadan. 

The mosque also offers various specialized services to the community. This includes conducting Nikah (Marriage) services, allowing couples to solemnize their union in accordance with Islamic traditions. Additionally, they provide Ṣalāt al-Janāzah (Funeral Prayer), providing support to the community during times of grief and loss.

Maryam Islamic Center strives to create a welcoming and inclusive environment, with separate prayer spaces for women and wheelchair accessibility. While the availability of shower facilities is currently unspecified, the mosque offers appropriate amenities for both men and women to perform Wudu (cleansing before prayer). The presence of wheelchair accessible prayer spaces and parking facilities ensures that individuals with mobility needs can participate fully in the center's activities.
