 Characteristics of the Prophets 

The American Muslim Community Organization (AMCO) is a mosque located in Lake in the Hills, Illinois. Established in 2011, AMCO is a not-for-profit organization that serves the religious, educational, social, and cultural needs of the Muslim community in McHenry County and its surrounding areas.

AMCO was formed to bring together various efforts to establish a vibrant Muslim community in the area. By unifying these efforts, AMCO has been able to provide excellent and professional support for the Muslims in the region. Their work has had a profound impact on the community.

As a Sunni mosque, AMCO offers a range of services and amenities. They have prayer facilities for men and women, with shared prayer space for women. The mosque provides five daily prayers, Jumu'ah prayers, and also offers weekend and Islamic school for children. Additionally, they offer adult Quran learning, personal counseling, and Nikah (marriage) services. During Ramadan, they hold Tarawih prayers and also offer Salah al-Janazah (funeral prayer) services.
