Speaking Truth to Power: A Civic Duty

The Islamic Center of East Brunswick, also known as Iqra Community Services, is a Sunni mosque located in East Brunswick, New Jersey. Established in 2004, it serves the Islamic and other communities in the area, aiming to foster welfare and harmony among them. 

Although Jummah prayer is not held at the center itself, it takes place at the nearby Aldersgate Church, which is located at 568 Ryders Ln, East Brunswick, NJ 08816. The Islamic Center conducts the five daily prayers and also holds Jumu'ah prayers at this alternative location. 

The center offers a range of amenities to accommodate the needs of worshippers. It provides separate prayer spaces for men and women, ensuring privacy and comfort. Wheelchair accessibility is available in the prayer area as well. However, information regarding parking, restrooms, and ablution facilities for those with mobility challenges is currently unavailable. 

In addition to its regular prayer services, the Islamic Center of East Brunswick also operates a weekend school for kids. This educational program is designed to provide religious and moral instruction to the younger members of the community.
