Quranic Reflections

The Islamic Society of Tampa Bay, also known as ISTABA, is a mosque located in Tampa, Florida. Established in 1973, it is a non-profit organization that aims to cater to the religious, educational, and social needs of the growing Muslim community in the Tampa Bay Area. 

ISTABA is a Sunni-Salafi mosque that welcomes people of all backgrounds and strives to foster understanding between Muslims and non-Muslims in the area. They offer services and programs to teach their faith and way of life to their non-Muslim neighbors.

This mosque provides a variety of amenities to accommodate its congregation. They have separate prayer spaces for men and women, ensuring a comfortable and respectful environment for everyone. For families with children, ISTABA has a weekend school for kids and youth halaqa programs for boys. They also offer marriage counseling and nikah services for those in need.

ISTABA holds regular prayers including the five daily prayers and Jumu'ah prayers, which are congregational prayers held on Fridays. They also organize additional religious activities during Ramadan, such as tarawih prayers and eid prayers. 

The Islamic Society of Tampa Bay serves as a welcoming and inclusive place of worship for the Muslim community in Tampa Bay. With its dedication to education and outreach, ISTABA plays an important role in promoting understanding and harmony among different communities in the area.
