We'll gather to recite the Burda (Poem of the Mantle) led by Munshids Omar and Muhammad, followed by dinner and a fun family game night.

Program Highlights: Qasida Al-Burda (selected chapters of The Poem of the Mantle composed by Al Busiri), Maghrib Prayer, Dinner, Isha Prayer & Games.

We wanted an intentional community, rather than a transactional space.
In the spring of 2012, a group of Houston Muslims (mostly African American converts) decided to get intentional about building community.
We wanted a community that was welcoming, safe and authentic. We wanted to cultivate a Prophetic community rooted in grace, love and service to humanity. We seek to be mindful of God and mindful of ourselves. We wanted to live a life of meaning and purpose while simultaneously reflecting who we are as American Muslims.
