Blood Drive Program

Hillside Islamic Center is an Islamic center located in New Hyde Park, New York. It is a welcoming and inclusive place for Muslims and non-Muslims alike. The center was established by concerned Muslims in the neighborhood with the aim of creating a central hub for the community.

The center is located in a newly acquired commercial building, conveniently situated on Hillside Avenue. It is one of the key landmarks in the area, opposite the Stop & Shop. The center covers a significant area, with a total land area of 17,000 square feet. The building itself spans 3,000 square feet, providing ample space for worship and other activities.

Hillside Islamic Center caters to the Sunni denomination of Islam, offering services and programs in English to accommodate the diverse community it serves. It is an inclusive center that encourages people of all ages to participate actively in the activities and events.

The center is kid-friendly, with a dedicated weekend school for children and separate prayer spaces for women. It also provides wheelchair amenities, including wheelchair-accessible prayer spaces. While some amenities like parking and toilet facilities may have unknown availability, the center strives to provide a comfortable and accessible environment for all individuals.

Hillside Islamic Center offers a range of services, including the five daily prayers, two or three Jumu'ah (Friday) prayers, and a weekend school for kids. This enables individuals to maintain their religious practices, connect with the community, and deepen their understanding of Islam.
