SICM (Mahfil Ali) is a mosque located in Harrow, England. The mosque was established by the Shia Ithna’ashari Community of Middlesex (SICM), which aimed to provide a platform for the local Muslim community to come together and engage in various religious and social activities. Initially, the community held regular Iftar gatherings during Ramadan in individual houses and hired halls in the vicinity of Harrow. 

Over time, the activities expanded, and SICM was able to secure the rental of the West Harrow school premises. This allowed for an increase in the range of activities offered, including daily Quran classes for children, evening congregational prayers, sports sessions, and seminars on various Islamic topics. The organization also acquired the North Harrow Assembly Hall as its permanent worship, meeting, and gathering place.

At SICM, you can participate in a range of ongoing activities such as D’ua programs on Thursday evenings, Friday lectures, religious gatherings in English, and lectures during Muharram. Additionally, Tafsir classes, a Sunday morning children’s school, and GCSE and A/S level tuition classes are available. The mosque also offers daily prayer services, as well as facilities for Ghusl (ritual washing), Kafan (burial shroud), and burial.

 SICM operates the Battlers Well Foundation (BWF), which has secured a dedicated graveyard at the Woodcock Hill Cemetery in Harefield, providing over five hundred burial spaces for the community.
